Preparation of Nanostructured TaN Electrodes by Alkaline Hydrothermal Treatment Followed by NH Annealing and Their Improved Water Oxidation Performance.

ACS Omega 2019 Apr 30;4(4):7815-7821. Epub 2019 Apr 30.

Center for Chemical Energy Conversion Research and Institute of Science and Technology Research, Chubu University, Kasugai, Aichi 487-8501, Japan.

Solar water splitting is a clean and sustainable process for green hydrogen production. It can reduce the fossil fuel consumption. Tantalum nitride (TaN) is one of the limited candidates of semiconductors, which absorb a broad range of visible light and are thermodynamically able to split water without external bias potential. Polymer nanocomposites exhibiting magnetically tunable microwave properties.

Nanotechnology 2011 Apr 22;22(13):135602. Epub 2011 Feb 22.

Integrated Functional Materials Group, Department of Physics, University of South Florida, Tampa, FL 33620, USA.

Polymer nanocomposites (PNCs) have been synthesized using Rogers polymer and CoFe₂O₄ nanoparticles (CFO NPs). X-ray diffraction (XRD) confirms the inverse spinel crystal structure of CFO NPs and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images show the uniform dispersion of nanoparticles (10 nm ± 1) into the polymer matrix. Magnetic measurements indicate superparamagnetic response near room temperature for all PNCs. Read More
