PubFacts is a Member Organization of ORCID, and allows professional information to be shared between an existing ORCID record and an author profile page on PubFacts.
By allowing this information to be shared, authors no longer need to worry about keeping multiple platforms up to date - your PubFacts profile will always reflect your latest professional information.
If you have questions about getting an ORCID iD, or any questions as to how ORCID iDs are used by PubFacts, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCiD) is a personal identifier that uniquely distinguishes you from other researchers, even if they have the same name. It enables authoritative links to be created between you and your research activities (e.g. your research outputs, grants and employment history). ORCiD is a non-profit, community-driven project, open to any researcher at any career stage and at no cost. Find out more at https://orcid.org.
If you are a researcher, you can register for your own unique ORCID identifier in 30 seconds by visiting https://orcid.org/register.
PubFacts has partnered with ORCID to enable a seamless syncing of data between the two, allowing your PubFacts record to continually stay up to date, and allowing users to sign into PubFacts with your ORCID account.
When you register a new PubFacts profile, you have the option to "Register or Connect your ORCID iD". Upon pressing this button, you will be asked to sign in to ORCID, and then authorize your professional information to be shared with PubFacts. If you already have a PubFacts account, you can connect with ORCID at any time, through the "Register or Connect your ORCID iD" button within account administration.
When you connect PubFacts to ORCID, the following information will be automatically imported, unless you have set its visibility to "private":
PubFacts will check with ORCID on an on-going basis to ensure your personal information stays connected.
You may disconnect your ORCID record from PubFacts at any time from within your PubFacts profile administration area.
