Systemic embolism secondary to orthopedic procedure in a patient with cardiological history.

Overview

Some cement-based orthopedic procedures can cause systemic complications. We present the case of a systemic cement embolism after kyphoplasty in a patient with a cardiological history.

The article is relevant because it contributes to lay the foundations for a better selection of patients who are candidates for orthopedic procedures safely.
