The gray wolf (Canis lupus) is both an apex predator and a scavenger in Minnesota. Monitoring the health of Minnesota's gray wolf population is an important component of wolf management. Concern regarding whether wolves are being exposed to lead through scavenging viscera of hunter-harvested cervids left on the landscape, led to our study to determine lead-exposure rates. Read More

Oxygen vacancies (VO) influence many properties of ZnO in semiconductor devices, yet synthesis methods leave behind variable and unpredictable VO concentrations. Oxygen interstitials (Oi) move far more rapidly, so post-synthesis introduction of Oi to control the VO concentration would be desirable. Free surfaces offer such an introduction mechanism if they are free of poisoning foreign adsorbates. Read More

Purpose: Lead Poisoning is a major health problem in Iran. We aimed to compare efficacy of a standard regimen (Succimer) with that of a low-priced combination of D-penicillamine and Garlic in outpatients with lead poisoning. Methods: In this retrospective cross-sectional study, year-long clinical files of outpatients with lead poisoning in two referral toxicology clinics in Mashhad, Iran were reviewed.
