Background: Telehealth and other technologies that enable remote patient-physician communication technologies have widespread use among physicians and other health care providers, but the impacts of these technologies on physician productivity are not well known.

Objective: To determine whether a HIPAA-compliant application that allows physicians to call patients from their personal cell phones is associated with an increase in physician productivity.

Objective: To assess current pediatric cholesterol screening practices, and attitudes, among pediatric primary care providers (PCPs) via qualitative semi-structured interviews designed to identifybarriers and facilitators to universal cholesterol screening practices recommended by the National Heart Blood and Lung Institute and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Study Design: An online survey and subsequent 30-minute semi-structured phone interview was completed with PCPs from regions in Northern California and Minnesota (survey n=25, interview n=12).
