Angotensin II type 2 receptors are believed to counter the effects of the angiotensin type 1 receptors and there is no data relating to the co-localisation of either receptor in human diseased arteries. We sought to determine whether AT2R counter the effects of AT1R and immunolocalise both receptors to cells in human diseased arteries. Human radial arteries (RA, n=11) were placed in organ bath chambers and preincubated with the AT2R antagonist PD123319 for twenty minutes before an angiotensin II dose response curve.
