South Florida agricultural regions, home to Latinx immigrant farmworkers, report higher rates of late-stage breast cancer diagnosis than national, state, and county-level averages. We conducted a community-based qualitative study on the needs, health knowledge gaps, barriers to breast cancer screening, and the role of community health workers (CHWs) in supporting the community's access to early detection services. We conducted three CHW focus groups (FGs) ( = 25) and in-depth interviews ( = 15), two FGs ( = 18) and in-depth interviews ( = 3) with farmworker community members, and informal interviews with cancer clinicians ( = 7). Sesquiterpene pyridine alkaloids are a large group of highly oxygenated sesquiterpenoids, which are characterized by a macrocyclic dilactone skeleton containing 2-(carboxyalkyl) nicotinic acid and dihydro--agarofuran sesquiterpenoid, and are believed to be the active and less toxic components of . In this study, 55 sesquiterpene pyridine alkaloids from were subjected to identification of pharmacophore characteristics and potential targets analysis. Our results revealed that the greatest structural difference of these compounds was in the pyridine ring and the pharmacophore model-5 (Pm-05) was the best model that consisted of three features including hydrogen bond acceptor (HBA), hydrogen bond donor (HBD), and hydrophobic (HY), especially hydrophobic group located in the pyridine ring. Abstract: Ultrasound (US)-guided core needle biopsy (CNB) has been recognized as a crucial diagnostic tool for breast cancer. However, there is a lack of guidance for hospitals that are not equipped with adjunctive US. The aim of this study was to assess the sensitivity, specificity, and experience of freehanded CNB in the outpatient department, and to determine the minimum number of tissue strips required to obtain concordance for estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR), human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2), and tumor grade with the excised specimen. Acinic cell carcinoma of the breast is a rare subtype of triple-negative breast cancer that recapitulates the appearance of tumors seen in salivary glands. We present the case of a 42-year-old woman with an irregular, nontender mass above the left nipple during routine obstetric appointment at 24 weeks gestation. She was subsequently diagnosed with triple-negative invasive ductal carcinoma of the left breast, Nottingham grade 3, via core needle biopsy. Read More

Background: Oncogenic fusions involving the neuregulin 1 (NRG1 gene are found in approximately 0.2% of cancers of diverse histologies. The resulting chimeric NRG1 proteins bind predominantly to HER3, leading to HER3-HER2 dimerization and activation of downstream growth and survival pathways. Read More
