Methotrexate toxicity in mucocutaneous areas is usually not associated with tissue eosinophilia. We describe a case of acute methotrexate-induced mucocutaneous erosions with interface dermatitis and eosinophils. A 76-year-old African-American woman with a history of bullous pemphigoid on methotrexate therapy presented with lower extremity cellulitis, developing oral and cutaneous erosions during hospitalization after daily dosage of methotrexate. Mucormycosis, a rare opportunistic infection seen in immunocompromised hosts, is caused by fungi of Mucorales family. It may be confined to the organs, such as rhinocerebral and pulmonary mucormycosis, or may cause disseminated infection. A 14-year-old boy presented to our clinic with fever and left upper quadrant abdominal pain, and on evaluation was found to have pancytopaenia, and imaging revealed ill-defined splenic collection with thrombus in the splenic vein. We report the case of a 27-month-old male with an unusual complication of aplastic anaemia and neutropenic enterocolitis. He suffered persistent neutropaenic sepsis and clinical deterioration forced the strategy of matched sibling haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Uterine myxoid leiomyosarcoma is an exceptionally unusual variant of leiomyosarcoma with only 34 cases having been reported in the literature. The authors describe a case of myxoid leiomyosaroma with an underlying haematological profile that has not been described previously.
