Spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs) ingest more NaCl than normotensive strains. Here we investigated NaCl intake and taste reactivity in adult male SHRs and normotensive Holtzman rats treated or not with AT1 receptor antagonist centrally in euhydrated condition and after fluid depletion. Taste reactivity was measured by the number of orofacial expressions to intra-oral infusions of 0. Read More

Trials 2021 Feb 23;22(1):159. Epub 2021 Feb 23.

National Clinical Research Center for Mental Disorders, and Department of Psychiatry, The Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, Changsha, 410011, Hunan, China.

Although there are a few studies on the effects of dietary fiber or probiotics on weight loss in obese people, no published trials have reported the efficacy of dietary fiber and probiotics on reducing atypical antipsychotic-induced weight gain.

Methods: For this 12-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, 100 patients with a weight gain of more than 10% after taking atypical antipsychotic medications were recruited. Read More

Pembrolizumab is an anti-programmed cell death protein-1 antibody that is mainly used for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Immune-related adverse events can be caused by immune checkpoint inhibitors; however, few case reports evaluate the prognosis of patients with NSCLC with late-onset immune-related adverse events. In this case, a 63-year-old man with stage IVA lung adenocarcinoma received pembrolizumab as first-line therapy and achieved a complete response. Read More
