Introduction

I am an early career researcher (ECR), who awarded a Ph.D. degree (2019) in the field of Medicinal Chemistry at CSIR-IICT, India. During my doctoral research, I have focused on the design and synthesis of target based new hybrid small heterocyclic molecules such as pyrazole, N-methylpicolinamide, podophyllotoxin, and triazoles which were successfully evaluated their inhibitory properties against CDKs, DNA-Topoisomerases, tubulin, and VEGFR-2 proteins. Considering my short time of starting as an ECR, I have demonstrated the ability for consistent, high-quality research through the publication of twenty-four (24) peer-reviewed international publications and filed two (2) provisional patents (US/PCT/EU). My research background has given me very good hands-on experience in all facets of medicinal chemistry/fragment-based drug discovery. During my Ph.D. final year, I have received an honorary Visiting Research Fellowship for one year from the school of science, RMIT-University, Melbourne, Australia where I am currently working in the field of bioorganic and medicinal chemistry which involves a synthesis of organic small molecules, gold and platinum metal-based complexes and their screening against different cancer cell lines. I have gained solid knowledge in rational drug design and superior hands-on experience in organic synthesis including in vitro cell culture works.
