Introduction

I am currently, doing my Doctorate in Cellular nanoscience
department in Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, Germany. I
received my master’s degree in the field of Biotechnology in Anna
university, Chennai and parallely worked as Senior Research Fellow
in Indian Institute of Technology, Madras
My experience includes research in the field of synthesis and
characterization of different sized and shaped nanoparticles. This
includes application of this particles in various fields to treat cancer
and alzheimers disease and to study the characteristic behaviour of
the proteins using Optical tweezers techniques.
My current scientific work is on developing the high precission optical
tweezers probes. In my work, I synthesized Germanium nanoparticles
which has high spatiotemporal resolution . I used this probe to
unravel the stepping mechanism of motor preotein Kinesin-1 using
optical tweezers. My works also includes developing supported solid
lipid bilayers as a platform for single-molecule force measurements.
So far I have 12 publications, in peer reviewed journals in the areas of
Nanotechnology. In addition to that I have three book chapters. I am a
gold medalist in my bachelor’s and master’s.
