Introduction

Prof Ramendra K. Singh, Director of Bioorganic Research Laboratory in the University of Allahabad, India, has more than 30 years of experience in the field of nucleic acids, peptides and antiretroviral research with wide range of training in various national and international institutes. His research interests also include developing natural compound curcumin as anti-cancer agent and fluorescently labeled nucleosides/oligonucleotides as markers in drug delivery. He is member of several national bodies, editor to different international journals and referee to more than two dozens national/international journals. He has been recipient of various awards/fellowships, like, Young Scientists’ Award, India; XVI IUBMB Fellowship, India; Jawaharlal Nehru Visiting Fellowship, India; UNESCO Fellowship, Japan; Post-Doc Fellowship, Japan; INSA International Exchange Fellowship, Poland and Fulbright Fellowship, USA. Dr. Singh has published more than 75 research papers/book chapters, in addition to several articles, in journals/books of national and international repute.
