EMMANUEL Okezie is a dedicated and hardworking Biochemist with demonstrated professional skills in nutrition, nutrigenomics, biomedical research, water analysis, rapid detection of microbes in foods, its molecular mechanisms, microsatellite instability of food samples and toxicology. He has over four (4) years experiences in the different aspects of Biochemistry including Nutrition, Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Industrial.
His keen interest and enthusiasm for academicism made him finished with First Class honours in Biochemistry, topped his class and emerged as the overall University best, Faculty and Departmental best graduating student out of 4,447 students in 2014/2015 graduating set of Abia State University Uturu. These awards earned him an automatic employment into academia as a lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry.
In 2019, he was awarded the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship to complete a masters taught program tenable at University of Reading, United Kingdom.
He has also basic medical laboratory skills in the areas of haematology, serology, microbiology, computer appreciation and statistical software applications. These skills have increased his potential to fit effortlessly in any form of research and study. He is currently researching on Toxicological activities of Nigerian’s herbs and polyherbal decoctions, effects of quarrying mining activities on edible and medicinal plants with the view of identifying their toxicological potentials.
