Introduction

Experienced researcher with skills in molecular microbiology and microbial ecology. Research interests include understanding factors which drive the microbial ecology of agroecosystems as well as mediate plant-soil-microbe interactions. My research goals are towards ensuring environmental sustainability and food security. Research activities has resulted in 17 peer-reviewed scientific publications, several conference presentations and six awards. Current work is on the development of molecular biomarkers for assessing post-coal mining reclamation soils for arability and ecosystem recover
