Dr. Mohammed Muzibur Rahman is a world renowned scientist (Materials & Biomaterials) from Bangladesh. He is an Associate Professor of Physical Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry (with CEAMR Research-Center) at King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia since 2014. Before joining to the King Abdulaziz University as an Assistant Professor in 2011, he served for two years as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry (with CAMNE Research-Center) at Najran University. He completed his B.Sc. (Chemistry; 1999) and M.Sc. (Physical Chemistry; 2002) from Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh. He received his Ph.D. degree from Chonbuk National University, South Korea in 2007. Before becoming an academician, he worked as a Postdoctoral research fellow at Pusan National University (2007/2008, South Korea) and at Toyohashi University of Technology (2008/2009, Japan) consecutively. His research interests are in the field of nanotechnology, semiconductor materials, bio- & chemo- sensors, self-assembled monolayers, nano-composites, conductive polymers, carbon nanotubes, ferrocene moieties, photocatalysis, and smart micro- & Bio-chips. He published over 265 (ISI+non-ISI) papers in peer-reviewed journals and delivered more than 50 talks to national and international conferences. He published four patents among them three are US patents, and Twelve Books and 18 Book-chapters. He is a potential reviewer of several peer-reviewed international journals, including Nature, ACS, RSC, WILEY, Elsevier, Springer’s, Bentham, PLoS, ASP, ESG, Dove publishers, etc. He has been serving as a member of the editorial board of many well-known international journals since 2008. As a Guest Editor, he launched a special issue on “Doped and Un-doped Semiconductor Nanomaterials and Applications” in Micro and Nanosystems, Bentham Science Publishers (2013). He maintains research collaboration with many research groups in top-ranked universities, such as University of California LA (USA), Fudan University (China), Universitat Jaume I de-Castelló (Spain), Chungnam National University-DGIST (South Korea), Kumamoto University (Japan), Najran University (KSA), Taif University (KSA), University Malaysia Sarawak (Malaysia), Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (Japan), Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology (MBSC, Bangladesh), Japan Atomic Energy Agency (Japan), Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST, Bangladesh) etc.
