Introduction

Dr. Lisboa has nearly 20 years in public health, most of which has been in HIV and AIDS services delivery at the clinical and community levels. He has worked as a physician the past six years, and as nursing assistant for more than 15 years. As a Mozambican, he has worked throughout the country, both for international NGOs such as International Organization for Migration (IOM) - UN Agency, World Vision International, Population Services International (PSI) as well as the Ministry of Health at provincial and district levels. For more than 8 years, Dr. Lisboa has worked with INGOs on large and complex health and projects supported by USAID/PEPFAR, OFDA, CERF, DFID, UNFPA, UNICEF, WHO and CNPq. He demonstrated significant expertise in leadership and management, technical leadership, implementation monitoring and health program evaluation, with a focus on Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment, sexual & reproductive health and family planning. He also has experience in government health and for five years worked as Medical Research Assistant for the National Institute of Health under WHO, UNFPA and CNPq funding for operations and implementation sciences research with scientific publications in the field of TB and TB/HIV co-infection. Additionally, he has been collaborating with WHO-AFRO-NTD Intercountry Support Team, Eastern and Southern Africa Program, as a temporary consultant on a mapping of Preventive Chemotherapy Neglected Tropical Disease (PCT-NTD) and IOM-UN Angency as health consultant for proper coordination and implementation of all health projects as part of IOM’s response to Cyclone Idai in Sofala, Mozambique. Dr. Lisboa will obtain soon a Doctorate in Philosophy (Ph.D.) and has a Post-Graduation in Tropical Public Health from Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Portugal, a Degree in Medicine (M.D.) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Multidisciplinary Studies of HIV/AIDS & Health from Catholic University of Mozambique.
