Introduction

I am a trained veterinary epidemiologist with MSc. In Applied Epidemiology and currently pursuing PhD in Epidemiology. I am currently employed as a National Epidemiologist/GHSA & EPT2 Coordinator with Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) attached to Emergency Centre for Transboundary Animal Diseases (ECTAD) office in Kenya. Previously I worked as veterinary field coordinator/one health liaison coordinator with Ministry of health, Kenya Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program (KFELTP) where I supported and coordinated Implementation of field epidemiology training using the three-tier approach (frontline, intermediate and advance level); supported epidemiological field investigation and disease surveillance and taught and mentored local health workers (including veterinarians) on field/applied epidemiology. I am highly skilled and experienced in design and execution of both quantitative and qualitative studies and possess strong data analytical skills including geo-spatial data analysis using various statistical and computer soft-wares.
