Dr Luca Perico

PhD

Introduction

Luca Perico graduated from the University of Milan, Italy, with a degree in Biological Science. Luca Perico currently works at the Department of Molecular Medicine, IRCCS - Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research. He completed his PhD at the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research, Bergamo, Italy. Since 2010 he has been working in the Laboratory of Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at the Centro Anna Maria Astori of the Mario Negri Institute. He is a cellular biologist and his research interests include the study of the molecular pathways in podocyte injury that lead to the development of glomerular disorders. In particula, his Luca research interest focuses on mitochondrial functional and structural integrity in both acute and renal diseases.
