Dr. Kamel Msaada is Associate Professor in Laboratory of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants,
Biotechnology Center in Borj Cédria Technopole. He got his PhD from The Al Manar University,
College of Science, Tunis, Tunisia on the research work of The Biological Sciences in 2007,
Dissertation title “Changes in the composition of essential oils, fatty acids and glycerolipids of
Coriandrum sativum L. during maturation. Variation depending on the organ, region and season”.
Doctorat in Biological Sciences, Tunis El Manar University, Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, 190p.
With excellent and honor degree.
In march 2000, Dr. Msaada got his master degree from the above university: DEA degree
(Diploma of Advanced Studies, Master equivalent) in General Ecology, Unit of Mass
Spectrometry, Tunis El Manar University, Faculty of Sciences of Tunis. Title: Contribution to the
analysis by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry for pesticide residues in Tunisian fruits. 103p.
With Excellent.
He’s having 18 years of teaching and research experience. Currently he is working as Associate
professor at Laboratory of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants, Biotechnology Center in Borj Cédria
Technopole. Dr. Msaada having the research experience in various topics like Biology,
Biochemistry, Aromatic and medicinal plant biotechnology: extraction, fractionation, purification,
analysis and identification of natural bioactive compounds; polyphenols; essential oil;
antimicrobial; antioxidant; bio-prospection; bio-industrial applications.
Dr. Msaada have published more than 60 papers and participated as an editorial board member for
various reputed journals.
