BRIEF RESUME

Prof (Dr). Hari Dev Khanna presently Visiting Professor, Department of Biophysics, Panjab University, Chandigarh had been Professor Emeritus (UGC) in the Department of Biophysics, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi from July 2013 to June 2015. Prior to his superannuation in June 2013, he has worked as Professor of Biophysics at Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He had been the Head of the Department of Biophysics, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University for three terms from 1992-95, 2002-05 and 2010-12. He has worked in the field of “Free Radicals and antioxidants in Health and Disease”. He has more than 138 publications with an impact factor more than 50 in the International and National journals of repute in the area of Tumor Biology, Low birth weight infants, Eclampsia / pre-eclampsia and different disease states in Journals such as Cell Biochemistry and Biophysics, Clinical Nutrition, BBA Clinical , DNA & Cell Biology, Journal of Environmental Pathology, Toxicology and Oncology, Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry; Journal of Tropical Pediatrics, Oncology Research, Journal of Biomedical Materials Research; Indian Journal of Biochemistry & Biophysics and Indian Journal of Experimental Research. He has supervised the research work of 106 candidates for PhD, M Ch, MS/MD courses in Medicine along with M Sc / M Tech (Biotechnology) courses. He has Chaired academic sessions in the different conferences in the Country and has been awarded by different scientific bodies for his best interdisciplinary research work. He has evaluated PhD thesis of different Universities in the Country and peer reviewed research articles of International and National journals of repute.
He has been awarded Professor Emeritus Fellowship 2012-13 in ‘Life Sciences’ by UGC, New Delhi. He has been honoured with Visiting Professor/Visiting Fellow in 2016 at Panjab University, Chandigarh. He is recipient of 'Academic Excellence in Publications Award 2013' from Banaras Hindu University in March 2013 and Award of Honour at National Biophysics Symposium on “Recent Perspectives in Biophysics” in May 2013 at PGI, Chandigarh.
