Characteristics of the Dynamic Electrocardiogram in the Elderly with Nonvalvular Atrial Fibrillation Combined with Long R-R Intervals.

Objective: To investigate the characteristics of dynamic electrocardiogram and their clinical implications in elderly patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation combined with long R-R intervals.

Methods: Elderly patients diagnosed with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation who were admitted as an inpatient or attended the outpatient department from January 2015 to January 2020 were selected. Patients were divided into two groups based on the presence of a long R-R interval. The characteristics and therapeutic significance of dynamic electrocardiogram between the two groups were compared.

Results: A total of 532 patients were included in our analyses. Of these, 399 patients were in the long R-R interval group and 133 in the nonlong R-R interval group. In 399 patients, there were 48,840 long R-R intervals manifested within 24 hours. The average, slowest, and fastest ventricular rates during sleep time were higher than those in nonsleep time, while the number of long R-R intervals in sleep time was significantly smaller than that in nonsleep time ( < 0.05). Clinical parameters including dizziness/syncope, cerebral infarction, ST-segment changes, platelet count, average hematocrit, prothrombin time (PT), left ventricular systolic function, end-diastolic diameter, pulmonary artery pressure, and left ventricular ejection fraction were comparable between the groups ( > 0.05). When compared with the nonlong R-R interval group, the level of C-reactive protein was slightly lower in the long R-R interval group ( < 0.05). In addition, the long R-R interval group had a higher incidence of atrial premature beats but a lower incidence of ventricular premature beats. Furthermore, the probability of long R-R interval combined with paroxysmal atrial tachycardia, transient ventricular arrest, second-degree atrioventricular block, and complete or incomplete right bundle branch block was higher than that of nonlong R-R interval ( < 0.05). In patients with long R-R interval >3 s, the risk of having second-degree atrioventricular block and complete or incomplete right bundle branch block was significantly lower, while the risk of having transient ventricular arrest was higher when compared to patients with long R-R intervals of 2-3 s ( < 0.05).

Conclusions: Long R-R interval is a common electrocardiographic phenomenon among the elderly with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation. The long R-R interval mostly occurs in nonsleeping time. The average ventricular rate, slowest ventricular rate, and fastest ventricular rate of sleep time are higher than nonsleeping time. Analysis of the characteristics of the dynamic electrocardiogram of these patients may shed light on the mechanisms for long R-R intervals, including the likelihood of concealed conduction and physiological interference in the atrioventricular node, overspeed inhibition, increased vagus nerve tension, or pathological atrioventricular block.

Lotus Leaf-Derived Gradient Hierarchical Porous C/MoS Morphology Genetic Composites with Wideband and Tunable Electromagnetic Absorption Performance.

Inspired by the nature, lotus leaf-derived gradient hierarchical porous C/MoS morphology genetic composites (GHPCM) were successfully fabricated through an in situ strategy. The biological microstructure of lotus leaf was well preserved after treatment. Different pores with gradient pore sizes ranging from 300 to 5 μm were hierarchically distributed in the composites. In addition, the surface states of lotus leaf resulted in the Janus-like morphologies of MoS. The GHPCM exhibit excellent electromagnetic wave absorption performance, with the minimum reflection loss of - 50.1 dB at a thickness of 2.4 mm and the maximum effective bandwidth of 6.0 GHz at a thickness of 2.2 mm. The outstanding performance could be attributed to the synergy of conductive loss, polarization loss, and impedance matching. In particularly, we provided a brand-new dielectric sum-quotient model to analyze the electromagnetic performance of the non-magnetic material system. It suggests that the specific sum and quotient of permittivity are the key to keep reflection loss below - 10 dB within a certain frequency range. Furthermore, based on the concept of material genetic engineering, the dielectric constant could be taken into account to seek for suitable materials with designable electromagnetic absorption performance.

ERK1/2-Nanog signaling pathway enhances CD44(+) cancer stem-like cell phenotypes and epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition in head and neck squamous cell carcinomas.

Head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCCs) harbor a subset of cells that are CD44(+) and present with malignancy and radiotherapy resistance. As a key regulator of self-renewal, Nanog expression not only determines cell fate in pluripotent cells but also mediates tumorigenesis in cancer cells; thus, we examined the role of Nanog in CD44(+) HNSCC. Three HNSCC cell lines, tumor xenografts, and patient tumors were examined. Nanog levels were significantly higher in CD44(+) HNSCC spheroids than in CD44(-) spheroids, and further increased when grown as spheroids to enrich for CSCs. CD44(+) spheroids showed a 3.4-7.5-fold increase in migration and invasion compared with CD44(-) spheroids and were resistant to radiation therapy, which was reversed by inhibiting Nanog. Nanog knockdown also decreased spheroid formation by 66.5-68.8%. Moreover, a phosphokinase array identified upregulated ERK1/2 signaling in CD44(+) HNSCC cells compared with that in CD44(-) cells. ERK1/2 signaling was found to regulate Nanog expression, aiding tumor progression, metastasis, and radiotherapy resistance. In xenograft models, the combination of radiation and Nanog or ERK1/2 inhibition inhibited tumor growth by 75.6% and 79.1%, respectively. In lung metastasis models, CD44(+) cells injected into the tail vein of mice led to significantly more lung metastases and higher Nanog expression level compared with that by ERK1/2-knockdown CD44(+) cells. Finally, in tumor tissues, CD44 and Nanog expression levels were correlated with tumorigenesis in HNSCC patients. Thus, targeting Nanog and the ERK1/2 signaling pathway may prevent or reverse CSC phenotypes and epithelial-mesenchymal transition that drive tumor progression, metastasis, and radiotherapy resistance in HNSCC.

Neck management in patients with olfactory neuroblastoma.

Objective: Optimal neck management in patients with olfactory neuroblastoma (ONB), a rare malignancy, remains uncertain. This study aimed to analyse patterns of cervical lymph node metastases and corresponding clinical outcomes and to investigate the value of elective neck irradiation (ENI) in this population.

Methods And Materials: This study retrospectively reviewed clinical records, imaging findings, nodal metastasis features and treatment data of 217 patients with ONB treated at our hospital during 1991-2019. Univariate and multivariate analyses were used to assess the influence of cervical lymph node involvement on treatment outcomes. Survival and regional failure rates were compared between patients with or without ENI.

Results: Thirty-two patients (14.7%) presented initially with cervical lymph node metastases, most frequently at levels II (10.6%, 23/217) and VIIa (5.5%, 12/217). Patients with and without cervical node metastasis differed significantly in overall (OS) (41.9% vs. 86.1%, p < 0.001), progression-free (PFS) (41.9% vs. 84.8%, p < 0.001), regional failure-free (45.9% vs. 89%, p < 0.001) and distant metastasis-free survival (41.5% vs. 86.1%, p < 0.001). Cervical lymph involvement was an independent factor affecting poor OS (hazard ratio, 0.184, 95% confidence interval, 0.078-0.436, p < 0.001) and PFS (hazard ratio, 0.198, 95% confidence interval, 0.088-0.445, p < 0.001). Moreover, 43.8% patients (95/217) underwent ENI, which significantly reduced the incidence of regional recurrence from 10.7% to 3.2% (χ = 4.396, p = 0.036) but did not significantly affect other survival outcomes. Regional failures could be resolved using salvage treatment.

Conclusions: Our findings indicate the importance of systematic therapy for patients with initial cervical lymph node metastases. ENI is not recommended for N0 disease.

Global dynamics of an SIRS model with demographics and transfer from infectious to susceptible on heterogeneous networks.

In this paper, by taking full consideration of demographics, transfer from infectious to sus-ceptible and contact heterogeneity of the individuals, we construct an improved Susceptible-Infected-Removed-Susceptible (SIRS) epidemic model on complex heterogeneous networks. Using the next generation matrix method, we obtain the basic reproduction number $\mathcal{R}_0$ which is a critical value and used to measure the dynamics of epidemic diseases. More specifically, if $\mathcal{R}_0$ < 1, then the disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable; if $\mathcal{R}_0$ > 1, then there exists a unique endemic equilib-rium and the permanence of the disease is shown in detail. By constructing an appropriate Lyapunov function, the global stability of the endemic equilibrium is proved as well under some conditions. Moreover, the effects of three major immunization strategies are investigated. Finally, some numerical simulations are carried out to demonstrate the correctness and validness of the theoretical results.

[Association of inflammatory indices with the severity of urinary sepsis: analysis of 70 cases].

Objective: To analyze the association of the clinical inflammatory indices with the severity of urinary sepsis.

Methods: We reviewed the clinical data of 70 patients with urinary sepsis treated in our hospital between January, 2013 and April, 2018. All the patients were diagnosed in line with the Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Urological Diseases in China (2014 edition), including 22 patients with sepsis, 12 with hypotension and severe sepsis, 17 with septic shock, and 19 with critical septic shock. White blood cell count (WBC), neutrophil percentage (N%), platelets (PLT), fibrinogen (FIB), Ddimer, interleukin-6 (IL-6), procalcitonin (PCT) and C-reactive protein (CRP) were examined in all the cases and compared among the 4 groups. The correlations of these inflammatory markers with the severity of sepsis were analyzed using logistic regression analysis.

Results: The 4 groups of patients showed significant differences in N%, PLT, D-dimer, and PCT ( < 0.05) but not in CRP (>0.05). Kruskal-Wallis Pairwise comparisons showed that the N% and PCT in patients with sepsis differed significantly from those in the other 3 groups; platelets in patients with sepsis differed significantly from those in patients with septic shock and critical septic shock; D-dimer differed significantly between patients with sepsis and those with septic shock. Among the 4 groups, the median levels of PLT decreased and PCT and N% increased with the worsening of sepsis. Logistic regression analysis indicated that PCT (=0.186, =0.000), N% (=0.047, =0.035) and PLT (=-0.012, =0.003) were significantly correlated with the severity of sepsis in these patients.

Conclusions: PCT, PLT and N% are all significantly correlated with the severity of sepsis, and their combined detection can be informative for assessing the severity of sepsis to facilitate clinical decisions on treatment.

Potential reservoirs and routes of Cronobacter transmission during cereal growing, processing and consumption.

Cronobacter are opportunistic bacterial pathogens of both infants and adults. We investigated the incidence and distribution of Cronobacter in 1245 samples of cereal and related environments. 39.1% (101/258) rice-related and 46.9% (98/209) wheat-related samples tested positive for Cronobacter, and the positive rate differed notably according to processing method. Cronobacter was found in rice and wheat plants at the tillering, filling and mature stages. Soil, water and swab samples from nearby milling plants were assayed, and results revealed that 6.3% (7/122) of water from paddy fields, 49.1% (28/57) and 62.1% (41/67) of swab samples from rice and wheat flour milling plants were Cronobacter positive. Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) subtyping indicated that some strains had a common profile, which suggested their persistence in the environment, potential transmission routes and cross-contamination in processing. Finally, we surveyed 18 families to evaluate potential risks. None of the families who primarily ate rice cooked with water tested positive for Cronobacter, though of 66.7% families (6/9) whose food staples were produced from wheat flour tested positive. Taken together, our results are important for understanding Cronobacter transmission and will aid in the development of additional control measures to reduce the risk of infection by these opportunistic pathogenic bacteria.

[In vitro culture medium for sparse spermatozoa improves human sperm motility].

Objective: To investigate whether in vitro culture medium (IVCM) for sparse spermatozoa can improve human sperm motility for the purpose of helping clinicians, laboratorians and patients choose a better strategy of assisted reproduction.

Methods: Semen samples were obtained from 178 males for routine semen examination from March to August 2016, including 151 cases of asthenozoospermia and 27 cases of normal sperm motility. A total of 200 μl was collected from each sample and divided into two equal portions and equal volumes of IVCM (experimental group) and F10 (1×) (control group) were added to the two portions, respectively, followed by 30-minute incubation at 37℃ in an incubator with 5% CO2. Sperm concentration, motility and viability and the percentages of progressively motile, non-progressively motile and immotile sperm were recorded before and after incubation.

Results: After activated with IVCM, neither the samples with asthenozoospermia nor those with normal sperm motility showed any statistically significant difference in sperm viability from the baseline or the control group (P>0.05). The rates of progressively and non-progressively motile sperm from the asthenozoospermia males were increased by 14.02% and 4.86% respectively, while that of immotile sperm decreased by 19.01% in the experimental group (P >0.01), and similar results were observed in the semen samples from the men with normal sperm motility. The percentage of reduced immotile viable sperm was positively correlated with that of immotile viable sperm in both the asthenozoospermia patients (r = 0.260, P <0.01) and the men with normal sperm motility (r = 0.679, P <0.01).

Conclusions: IVCM can increase sperm motility without affecting sperm viability in men with either asthenozoospermia or normal sperm motility. The larger the proportion of immotile viable sperm, the higher the percentages of progressively and non-progressively motile sperm in the semen after IVCM activation, and this correlation is more significant in men with normal sperm motility than in asthenozoospermia patients.

2,3-Dihydro-3β-methoxy Withaferin-A Protects Normal Cells against Stress: Molecular Evidence of Its Potent Cytoprotective Activity.

2,3-Dihydro-3β-methoxy withaferin-A (3βmWi-A) is a natural withanolide that is structurally close to withaferin-A (Wi-A), is cytotoxic to human cancer cells, and is a candidate anticancer natural compound. Using cell-based biochemical, molecular, and imaging assays, we report that Wi-A and 3βmWi-A possess contrasting activities. Whereas Wi-A caused oxidative stress to normal cells, 3βmWi-A was well tolerated at even 10-fold higher concentrations. Furthermore, it promoted survival and protected normal cells against oxidative, UV radiation, and chemical stresses. We provide molecular evidence that 3βmWi-A induces antistress and pro-survival signaling through activation of the pAkt/MAPK pathway. We demonstrate that 3βmWi-A (i) contrary to Wi-A is safe and possesses stress-relieving activity, (ii) when given subsequent to a variety of stress factors including Wi-A, protects normal cells against their toxicity, and (iii) is a vital compound that may guard normal cells against the toxicity associated with various targeted therapeutic regimes in clinical practice.

Downregulation of thrombospondin-1 by DNA hypermethylation is associated with tumor progression in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.

Thrombospondin‑1 (THBS‑1) has been demonstrated to have a complicated role in human cancer and to exert stimulatory and inhibitory effects in different types of tumors. DNA methylation, as the most frequent mechanism for gene silencing, has been widely investigated in regards to the development of tumors. However, the expression levels and methylation status of THBS‑1, and their roles in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) remain to be elucidated. The present study detected downregulated THBS‑1 mRNA and protein expression levels in LSCC by using reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and western blotting, while decreased expression levels of THBS‑1 mRNA and protein were significantly associated with lymph node metastasis and tumor‑node‑metastasis (TNM) stage. Furthermore, aberrant methylation of THBS‑1 was frequently observed in LSCC by methylation‑specific PCR, particularly in tumor tissues from lymph node metastasis or samples from cancer with advanced TNM stage. Furthermore, the current study demonstrated that downregulated expression of THBS‑1 in LSCC was consistent with aberrant methylation of this gene. Treatment with the DNA methyltransferase inhibitor 5-aza-2'-deoxy-cytidine in Hep‑2 cells induced demethylation of THBS-1, enhanced THBS‑1 expression, and inhibited the proliferative and invasive ability of Hep‑2 cells. Collectively, the results of the present study suggest that THBS‑1 may exert an inhibitory effect in the development of LSCC. Aberrant methylation was an important reason for the downregulation of THBS‑1 and was involved in the invasion and metastasis of LSCC. Demethylating agents may be effective candidates for the treatment of LSCC.

FTY720 enhances osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in ovariectomized rats.

Sphingosine-1-phosphate and its structural analog FTY720 (fingolimod) are important in the inhibition of osteoclast differentiation and bone resorption, however, it remains unknown whether they enhance osteogenic differentiation of the bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BM‑MSCs). The present study investigated the effect of FTY720 on the osteogenic differentiation of BM‑MSCs from the femurs of the ovariectomized (OVX) rats. Three different concentrations (1, 10 and 100 nM) of FTY720 were demonstrated to markedly upregulate mRNA expression levels of Runt‑related transcription factor 2 (Runx2) and Sp7 transcription factor (Sp7) at 2 weeks, and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) at 3 weeks. The osteocalcin (OCN) expression was similar at weeks 2 and 3. The protein expression levels of Runx2, Sp7, OCN and ALP induced by three different concentrations of FTY720 were higher than those in the control groups at 3 weeks in the OVX and sham groups. The findings of the current study suggested a beneficial effect of FTY720 on bone formation in OVX rats, and provided a potential therapeutic method of FTY720 to prevent alveolar bone resorption in patients with post‑menopausal osteoporosis.

Nanoparticle-mediated down-regulation of TWIST increases radiosensitivity of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells via ERK pathway.

Evidence suggests that over-expression of TWIST, an epithelial-mesenchymal transition inducer, might have a correlation with cancer progression and chemoresistance. However, its roles in radioresistance of cancer have rarely been reported. High TWIST expression was detected in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) and associated with poor prognosis. Thus, in the present study, we aimed to determine whether knockdown of TWIST can increase radiosensitivity of NPC cells. Chitosan-encapsulated TWIST-siRNA nanoparticles were constructed and used to silence TWIST expression in CNE2 cells. The cell viability and apoptosis as well as possible MAPKs pathways were assessed after irradiation treatment. The results showed that the nanoparticles successfully suppressed TWIST expression in CNE2 cells, and TWIST depletion significantly sensitized CNE2 cells to irradiation by inducing activation of ERK pathway but not JNK or p-38 pathways. The data suggested that TWIST depletion might be a promising approach sensitizing NPC cells to irradiation. Further investigations are needed to confirm the results.

Expression and clinical significance of microvessel density and its association with TWIST in nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is characterized by a high frequency of nodal and distant metastasis at diagnosis. Microvessel density (MVD) is an indicator for angiogenesis that has been shown to correlate with metastasis of cancers. Evidence regarding the roles of MVD in NPC has rarely been reported. Thus, we aimed to investigate the state of angiogenesis in NPC. CD34 and TWIST were detected in sixty-five NPC specimens by immunohistochemistry, respectively. Then, MVD and its association with clinical features as well as TWIST expression have been assessed. As a result, MVD was closely related to cancer progression as reflected by distant metastasis (P < 0.05), and nevertheless, the data failed to show its association with lymph node metastasis and other clinicophathological features (P > 0.05). Interestingly, a marked correlation between TWIST positive expression with increased MVD was observed. The results suggested that MVD might play important roles in the development of NPC and TWIST might promote cancer progression by facilitating angiogenesis. Further studies are needed to confirm the results.

Expression of TWIST, an inducer of epithelial-mesenchymal transition, in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and its clinical significance.

An important EMT inducer, TWIST, has been detected to be over-expressed in a variety of tumors, but rarely been studied in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). This study aimed to examine TWIST expression and its association with clinicopathological factors and prognosis in NPC. A total of 65 NPC and 20 normal samples were involved in the present study. RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry were used to examine the mRNA and protein expressions of TWIST in NPC and normal tissues. The relationship of TWIST expression levels with clinical features and prognosis of NPC patients were analyzed. The positive rate of TWIST expression was markedly higher in NPC tissues than that in normal tissues. Over-expression of TWIST was correlated with N stage and the presence of distant metastasis. Patients with positive TWIST expression had a significantly shorter overall survival time relative to patients with negative TWIST expression. The data suggest that TWIST over-expression has a correlation with lymphatic and distant metastasis in NPC. Moreover, it might be a novel biomarker for prediction of advanced tumor progression and a potential unfavorable prognostic factor as well as a potential treatment target for NPC.

Overexpression of Forkhead Box M1 transcription factor and nuclear factor-κB in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma: a potential indicator for poor prognosis.

The Forkhead Box M1 transcription factor and nuclear factor-κB have been shown to play important roles in the development and progression of human cancers. However, the functional significance of Forkhead Box M1 transcription factor in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma and the correlation between Forkhead Box M1 transcription factor and nuclear factor-κB remain unclear. In the current study, we have shown that Forkhead Box M1 transcription factor and nuclear factor-κB were significantly overexpressed in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma tissues and precancerous lesions, compared with adjacent normal tissues (both P < .001). The overexpression of Forkhead Box M1 transcription factor was significantly associated with histologic differentiation (rs = 0.321, P = .002), T stage (rs = 0.276, P = .009), lymph node metastasis (rs = 0.266, P = .012), and clinical stage (rs = 0.272, P = .010); overexpression of nuclear factor-κB was significantly associated with T stage (rs = 0.404, P < .001), lymph node metastasis (rs = 0.293, P = .005), and clinical stage (rs = 0.425, P < .001). Overexpressions of both Forkhead Box M1 transcription factor and nuclear factor-κB were associated with worse overall survival (P = .041 and P < .001, respectively). Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that T stage, lymph node metastasis, and nuclear factor-κB were independent prognostic factors for laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (P = .038, P = .014, and P = .005, respectively). Furthermore, a significant correlation was observed between Forkhead Box M1 transcription factor and nuclear factor-κB (rs = 0.683, P < .001), indicating the potential direct or indirect interaction between them. In conclusion, our results suggest that overexpressions of Forkhead Box M1 transcription factor and nuclear factor-κB and the possible interaction between them may play important roles in the development and progression of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma, and Forkhead Box M1 transcription factor and nuclear factor-κB may serve as useful prognostic markers for laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.

Overexpression of mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 4 and nuclear factor-kappaB in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma: a potential indicator for poor prognosis.

This study aimed to investigate the expression and clinical significance of mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 4 MKK4 and nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-kappaB) in patients with laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC). We used immunohistochemistry (IHC) to examine the expression of MKK4 and NF-kappaB in 78 LSCCs and their adjacent normal tissues. To clarify the validity of MKK4 and NF-kappaB as determined by the IHC analysis, RT-PCR was performed on 21 tissues randomly selected from the 78 LSCCs. The positive expression rates of MKK4 and NF-kappaB in patients with LSCC were 67.9% (53/78) and 60.3% (47/78) respectively, which were significantly higher than those in the adjacent normal tissue (both P<0.01). The positive expression of MKK4 and NF-kappaB tended to be associated positively with lymph node metastasis (both P<0.01) as well as T stage (both P<0.01). The Spearman analysis indicated that the expression level of MKK4 was positively correlated with that of NF-kappaB significantly (rs=0.368, P<0.01). Overall survival curves estimated by Kaplan-Meier showed that tumor patients with low MKK4 and NF-kappaB expression in their tumor cells survive significantly longer than patients with high MKK4 and NF-kappaB levels (P=0.027, and P<0.01, respectively). In addition, multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that N stage, T stage and NF-kappaB expression are significant independent prognostic factors for overall survival (P<0.01, P=0.014, and P=0.027, respectively). These findings suggested that the expression of MKK4 and NF-kappaB may be considered as a useful prognostic marker of LSCC after surgical resection.

[Clinical observation of treating allergic rhinitis with focused ultrasound under nasal endoscope].

Objective: To observe the short-term therapeutic effect of focused ultrasound in treating allergic rhinitis under nasal endoscope.

Method: One hundred and seventeen patients with allergic rhinitis were treated by the CZB ultrasound therapeutic system which was developed and produced by Chongqing Haifu (HIFU) Technology Co. Ltd., Chongqing China. It was used to scan inferior nasal concha and the anterosuperior part of nasal septum under nasal endoscopy. The therapeutic effect was evaluated by clinical symptoms controlled counting-scores, according to the Chinese Lan zhou principle of treatment and recommendation program for allergic rhinitis.

Result: The excellent effective rate was 44/117 cases (37.6%), effective rate was 49/117 cases (41.9%), ineffective rate was 24/117 cases (20.5%), and the total effective rate was 79.5 after 12 months follow up.

Conclusion: The focused ultrasound is convenient, safe, repetitive and effective in treating allergic rhinitis under nasal endoscope. The long-term therapeutic effect remains to be further studied.
