Bolaji Lilian Ilesanmi-Oyelere is a PhD (Nutritional Science) fellow working with Professor Marlena C. Kruger in the School of Health Sciences, Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand. She is investigating ‘The relationship between dietary pattern, bone biomarkers, inflammation, gut microflora and bone density in postmenopausal women’.
Previously, Lilian was working as an Instructor in the Department of Nutrition and Health of the College of Food and Agriculture, UAE University, from September 2013 till December 2016. Where she was involved in the teaching and examination of Contemporary Food Science and Nutrition (an ipad-based course), Nutrition-1 320 (NUTR320) and she used to teach the Nutrition Education and Communication (NUTR401 and NUTR404 SP) course.
Lilian completed her master’s degree in Health Sciences and Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch (New Zealand) with upper second class honours and Distinction respectively. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Maiduguri, Borno State (Nigeria).
