Introduction

Argaw Ambelu is a Professor of Environmental Health at Jimma University working at different academic and administrative positions for more than 15 years in teaching, research, coordination, and service. Main fields of service and education are; Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WaSH), Environmental Protection, Food Safety, Waste-to-Energy Conversion, Aquatic Ecology, Environmental Pollution and Prevention, Environmental Microbiology. He is leading different research projects, such as WaSH, Biodiversity, Resilience Studies, Pesticide Efficacy Test, and Food Safety. He has excellent experience in extensive data management, disease vector modeling, ecological modeling, and different data mining techniques. Besides, he has been leading studies of environmental and social impact assessments of various projects. He has authored and co-authored more than 85 scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals.
