Introduction

I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from UIPS, Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. My research is focussed on preclinical studies in neuroscience. I have explored the brain insulin resistance, oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, and neuroinflammation, etc. pathways involved in brain diseases. My Ph.D. thesis is entitled "targeting brain insulin resistance in an intracerebroventricular-streptozocin induced rat model of Alzheimer’s disease” under the supervision of Dr. Sangeeta Pilkhwal Sah, assistant professor in Pharmacology, Panjab University. I have worked on neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, PTSD, diabetic cognitive dysfunction, and diabetic neuropathy, etc. I have authored and co-authored in a few research and review publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
My master's project was on 'cloning, expression, and purification of recombinant protein utilizing bacterial expression system' under the supervision of Dr. Sudir Sahdev, group leader at Daiichi Sankyo, Gurgaon and Dr. VGM Naidu, assistant professor, NIPER Hyderabad.
My research interest is cognitive neuroscience. I have worked on preclinical animal models. I am interested to explore neuroscience in clinical studies.
