Alan Ducatman is a professor in the West Virginia University School of Public Health and the School of Medicine. He received the MD degree from Wayne State and completed his residencies Internal Medicine and in Occupational Medicine at Mayo Clinic. His research focuses on environmental disease and disease prevention, including health communications to affected populations. He has published actively concerning clinical population aspects of exposure to perflouroalkyl substances.
Dr. Ducatman’s public service has included work with industry, nonprofits, and government such as Chair of an external science advising committee to the National Center for Environmental Health and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry of the Centers for Disease Control.
